Maternity & Early Years Support

Our Tukutuku team specialises in maternity and early years healthcare. From midwifery and childhood immunisations to Well Child Tamariki Ora services, Tukutuku clinicians provide in-home, wrap-around support for all mātua and tamariki across Tāmaki Makaurau. Grounded in the Pā Harakeke Model, our goal is to ensure whānau feel supported, connected and empowered throughout their journey — because when whānau thrive, mokopuna thrive.

Midwifery

Our midwives provide whānau-centric care from pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-natal period. Walking alongside whānau, they provide:

Pregnancy and maternity care
Labour and birth support
Postnatal care for māmā and pēpi
Breastfeeding support
Health education and guidance
Emotional, practical and cultural support
Referrals and connections to additional services where needed

Tamariki Ora

The Well Child Tamariki Ora programme consists of free health visits and support delivered by our nurses. Guided by Te Ao Māori values, our nurses specialise in providing in-home care for whānau. This service is available to all whānau and their children from the ages of 6 weeks up to 5 years. Their mahi covers:

Regular health & development checks
Feeding and nutrition support
Growth monitoring
Parenting support and guidance
Sleep and settling advice
Immunisations
Early identification of concerns and referrals
Health education and connections to community support
